Jewish Values

Kindness, community and caring for the world

Jewish values are woven into everyday life at our nursery. As part of the FRS community, led by Rabbi Deborah, children explore concepts such as kindness (chesed), charity (tzedakah), and caring for the world (tikkun olam).

Through celebrations, storytelling, and meaningful actions, children learn respect, empathy, and responsibility. Each term, they vote for a Tzedakah charity and contribute to causes that matter, helping them develop a sense of community, moral awareness, and cultural identity.

Children also participate in weekly Hebrew sessions, celebrate Shabbat each week, and bake challah together. They learn traditional stories, songs, and take part in festivals and High Holy Days, experiencing Jewish culture and values in a hands-on, engaging way.
